CEO and founder of JJUrban, Mr. Jesse Jones held his exclusive 25th birthday party at In The Mood Lounge this past Saturday.
For all my American heads, lemme break down for you:
Jesse currently runs JJUrban as a manager/agent/broker and head of business development representing clients that range anywhere from artists and producers to amature athletes. "With JJUrban, we move differently. We walk differently, deal with clients differently, and have a very subtle but piercing confidence in the type of business that we do."
JJUrban is also the home to two time Juno Award winning Artist Blessed (pronounced Bless-ed)

commend it to anyone lookin' for a classy place to chill. The night began with a performance from Blessed...the crowed watched as his soulful and rugged voice took over the room.
Jesse specifically wanted to highlight the talent of Kahlel; an up and coming r&b artist. Kahlel performed two sets @ That Libra Thang, and the crowd was drawn in by his sensual acoustic flow. Check him out on myspace

Mark Taylor, also from Doomstown (you may also know him from student bodies) was there to support his friend on his 25th birthday.
Yes you know the hottest rapper in the T.O. was there to show is respect and support for Jesse and JJUrban. Kardi's a cool kat, humble and respectful. He's really about supporting the kats dat are 'bout something in the Mega City. "Yo Kardi's here, at my party! That's a big deal." Was what I heard from Jesse that night, as he showed his appreciation for Kardi's appearance. Although Mr. Jones is doin' big things, he does not forget where he's come from and how hard he has worked to get where he's at today. I had to step outside my PR mode, and really look at how humble this man really was when he saw all the people that came to show him love. That's how we gotta do it black people, support each another.

Lawks...Mark Taylor came to my old h/s to see his cousin and the girls JUMPED HIM.
He was gracious about the whole thing. I stood by and just watched.

My friend Niki who lives in Canada told me she's friends with Mark Taylor's cousin,and he does visit the highschool down there,and all the girls go crazy when they see him,lol I did"nt believe it at first...but you never know...you should of just went up to him and start up a convo,I used to be a big fan of his when I was younger(14yrs old),I had pictures and all until people got sick...lol and my friend said she'll let me go to Canada with her to meet him,she used to milk the fact that she knew mark..like she'd tell me to take the train all the way for her,but I wouldn't do it,because I would've gotten in trouble...but when she said do it for Mark Taylor I did it..Until one day I got sick with cancer and she called me and told me we could"nt go to Canada.In a way I was happy I got sick,I think that saved me from the disappointment......Unfortunately Niki and I aren't friends anymore because of something she did that wasn't right,I'm now a 19 year old cancer survivor and loving it:)check out that move "doomstown"it's a great and Mark Taylor's in it.
